BJ Papa Live at the Gathering Cafe

Here are some mp3's of BJ Papa and Bishop Norman Williams live at the Gathering Cafe on three dates.

Many of the tracks have a spoken introduction by BJ.  It is nice to click on a track and hear BJ's voice again and then listen to some of the music.
Then, you can click 'back' on your browser and select another song.

The audio quality is not the greatest - this is mainly for friends and fans who would like a memory of BJ's live performances.

The second and third dates sound better than the first

BJ made hundreds of live cassette recordings, and carefully noted the personnel and song titles on each one.

Just click on a song title to play.  If you hear one you like and want to save it on your computer, right click directly on a song title (cmd-click on Macintosh) and choose 'save as' to download.

Note: I got three of BJ's Gathering tapes, basically at random, and I digitized them and broke them out into separate tracks. I'm going to digitize about 30 or 40 of the tapes in mp3 format, which should fit on one data dvd. Send me an email if interested in the dvd -- it's bruce@ -- this url.  Or post a request at www.bjpapajazz.blogspot.com and I'll see it -- bruce
